Tranny Removal

I'm trying to remove my tranny 5 speed on 99 24 valve 2WH and have a question, what is involved in the cab? Anything I should know other than common sense to get the stick off? Is there anything special I need to get it out and back in. I believe I have a pilot bearing problem and possibly a clutch disc as it jumps pretty bad when I back up and it sometimes don't want to go in gear, especially in to fifth. Many Thanks! Sonny

On my 95 4x4 it came out fairly easy. Only thing i had to do is roll the rear lip of the shifter opening floor pan up a bit. The tranny would not drop down enough to quite clear the opening. A 2wd might be different and for sure a lot less work than a 4x4.

Make sure you leave it in gear, prefferably 5th, as it will be helpful when aligning things on the install.
