I have 2500 hd Diesel it has 11,000 miles on it. On 8-17-03 the overdrive housing cracked, on 9-5-03 the new overdrive housing cracked. this time the dealerinstaled anew trans and overdrive they also repaced thr drive shaft as it was out of balance. I got the truck back on 09-19-03. On 09-27-03 the shaft outputseal on the overdrive has started to leak again, Has any one else had this problem. If so what did you or the dealer do to stop the problem. I spoke with the dealer on 09-27-03 . I beleive that they will replace the truck or buy it back.. I like the truck but I would like to know if all 2500 hd diesel have a trans-overdrive problem. I also have a viberation between 70-80 mph. Oh this truck also has a cracked Catolic Coverter. Keep in mind that this truck is 5 MO. old and only has 11,00 miles

I don't think the 03's had a converter just a Resonator .

your problem seems alot like another thread in the "HELP section named "Extension Housing", their were some interesting points about proper alignments and such. Take a look at it...as for alot of problems like yours, you and that other thread i mentioned are the first ive ever heard of it....good luck
