O'K someone has to jump on this eventually. And how much overfilled did you have in mind. I run a pint overfill, just to make sure filter is completelly covered under all operating conditions. I would suspect a quart (about 5/8 inch) over will not get you in trouble. After that you are gettingcloser to rotating assemblies. Then churning, foaming, and aireation start. Two quarts will definitelly get you in trouble. Remember to check in neutral, engine runing, and fluid at normal operating temperature. Items mentioned could be result of overfill, except last.

fluid level answer
There is a funny thing about dodge transmission in the fact that they do not produce pump flow in park. So when you go to check you fluid level with the transmission in park and the engine at an idle your level will seem to be low. So always remember to check your dodge transmission fluid level with the transmission in neutral and the engine at an idle.
Hope that helps a little!

Try again..... You want to check it in neutral and at idle. best to check it when warmed up.
