TIMBO APPS Sensor, BETTER then OEM?
It's very likely that my APPS sensor needs replacing, according to "the doorguy" and "the totallyrad" members on this site.
Which directed me to TMB/TIMBO APPS sensors on this question>>> https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...m-t275303.html
But I never heard of them till today,.....
I mean,...the TIMBO APPS sensor $160.00 deal looks almost too good to be true, especially after I called my local dealer today which quoted $750.00 (tax included)
for the sensor ONLY,.......WITH installation the dealer quoted me today $1250.00!!! HOLY CRAP!
TIMBO APPS website:
http://www.dodgecumminsapps.com/index.html
Additional Sensor and other info:
http://mopar.mopar1973man.com/cummin.../apps/apps.htm
http://mopar.mopar1973man.com/cummin...bo-install.htm
http://mopar.mopar1973man.com/cummin...timbo-apps.htm
So I figured it's maybe not a bad idea to get a bunch of confirmation replies first before ordering/buying an TIMBO APPS.
My questions;
Have you installed a TIMBO APPS replacement sensor?
What is the quality/results; same as OEM or BETTER?
And how many miles have you driven with it, without ANY problems?
Thanks in advance.

I wish I was as fine, as those who work the pipeline!
Got on in the mail right now. Hope to put it on as soon as I get home. Lots of guys on here have had them on fro quite a while. I have done a lot of things based on the advice from guys here and have not been disappointed yet. One thing I know is that quite a few have complained about their oem apps.
HOWEVER, you need to really be cautious with that totalyrad guy. He is trouble!!!

I have installed a Timbo APPS with 20,000 miles and was still running until the ECM took a poop. It is a 1/2 hour to an hour job to put it in yourself and it comes with user friendly directions (and pictures). Would highly encourage a Timbo APPS.

Timbo APPS is all I would recommend, forget the dealer and their ridiculous pricing.
Throttle response seems to be a little crisper since I put mine one, might just be in my head though.

APPS accelerator pedal position sensor. You put your foot on the go pedal, the APPS changes the pedal input to an electrical in put that the injector pump (VP44) uses to inject fuel into the engine. It's mounted on the engine up front on the drivers side.

Well my truck got the apps error 2121 and 2123 which pointed to the Apps need to be replaced... One thing that amazed me was on my truck the problem was while trying to drive off from stop truck would all of a sudden FLOOR throttle for a second then dead peddle. This happened to a friend the 1st time and he came back with an Oh My God look on his face.. My truck has compounds and running level 7 of TNT/R it takes off fairly well. Told him I had never heard of that happening.. Took about another 3-4 days before it happened to me. I ordered the Apps from Timbo.. Installed this last night in about 45 minutes start to test drive. Very easy.. Clear instructions.. He even provides a paperclip and explains how to use this to get a test point for calibrating the device..
Hats off to Timbo! And I would highly recommend this if the application fits your year truck.
