Think my lift pump is going out
#17
The lift pump is MIA or is sitting there basically disconnected. There shouldn't even be any lines going or coming from it. They made a straight run for the VP from the tank on my setup. Why they'd do the pump in the tank mod and then leave the old one still in the bracket is kind of a head scratcher. But if it is still there it's probably not functional.
Anyways, it looks like you're in the same boat as myself and you have two choices.
Drop the tank, install the draw straw kit, yank the internal pump, reinstall and all of that while going with the FASS setup. That should run about $500 at the cheapest. Labor extra.
Or you could just add a Holley Blue electric fuel pump inline, between the (pump in the) tank and the VP and leave what's working alone, no tank dropping needed!!! That will boost fuel pressure to where it should be, with a lot less work.
Choices, choices.....

YIKES!! God, THERE'S STICKER SHOCK!!!!! Congrats on the new pump but too bad you had to pay for it. I'd be reaching for the plastic if that happened here, KNOCK ON WOOD....
