TC Lock/Unlock Issue

I am having this issue as of late. Bought truck in October and have put about 6k miles on it. This just started a couple of weeks ago. It happens in 3rd and 4th gear at low rpm's, about 1100-1400, while going up a slight grade. I have begun to lock out OD when I know I will be traveling a road at speeds less than 45 mph and unlocking OD when I reach about 50 mph. However, when traveling in town at lower speeds it will do it quite often in 3rd with a light pedal. If I give it enough pedal the TC will unlock and motor will rev with acceleration then lock in appropriately. It is just when light acceleration is needed that this lock/unlock will occur.

When traffic allows and I can accelerate more briskly, it does not occur. It also seems to not occur as often when the trans is warmed up.

I wrapped the Alt wire shortly after the purchase of this truck as I had read about this issue.

Thanks for any ideas.

Clean every ground you can find

Clean every ground you can find, including the snap in connectors on the battery grounds.

there are noise filters you can buy which will sometimes take care of the problem.

The noise filter worked for me until recently, I cleaned every ground, and ended up putting on an APPS Sensor to make it go away. Mine is rock solid after the sensor install.

It is a very annoying problem that I dealt with every winter, always seemed to affect my truck more in cold weather.

Good luck to ya....gary
