t case output shaft bushing?

I was wondering if anyone had the bushing size and the drive shaft seal sizes or numbers off hand.

Mine is pretty sloppy and the seal is starting to leak pretty good now.

Thanks

Jason,
Mine is getting pretty bad also ! I've got a point of contact at New Venture Gear, his name is Ken Kociba (248) 680-4931. I'm sure he'll be able to help you out !!

I phoned the local jobber up here and he said he had a listing for that bushing( refered to it as a speedy bearing or something like that).

I am going to pick it up tomorrow and hopefully it is the right part.

Thanks very much for the contact though, its much appreciated.

Well I dont think the sppedy bushing or whatever its called was what i needed. That id for repairing bad shafts that have been damaged by seals etc and wouldnt you know it they sent me the tranny output seal with the big boot on the end so you can't even use it!!LOL

So What I ended up doing was ordering a split bushing from a bearing place the same size as the seal ID and hopefully when I get it apart that will do.

When I get a chance to do this I will let you know what I find.

Could be interesting..

Well, the bushing is a pretty strange looking thing and the one I had ordered wasn't going to do the trick so I put the new seal in and left it alone. The yoke shaft is in great shape so I am hoping the seal was the only problem.

What I did notice now is the leak between the transfer case and the tranny its getting pretty bad so that will be something else to look at in the future.

With all the leaks I am having I am beginning to wonder if its really a PSD instead of a cummins..lol

You can get the bushing from most tranny shops I think. The shop I deal with had to order mine (around 40 or 50 bucks). Make sure you look on the tag and identify if you have the DHD or LHD model transfer case. Mine happened to be the DHD which has the big slip yoke, Measures about 2.2 in in diameter. The LHD has the smaller shaft and slip yoke.

I do hope were talking about a 4x4.
