Superchips programmer and 0216 code/dead pedal
I've finally figured out my situation, just don't know a solution or why for sure. Going down the interstate 70mph or higher I get a dead pedal with the superchips programmed on any of the 3 settings along with a code 0216. If I reprogram it back to stock everything is fine, no code and no dead pedal. What the ____ is the deal. I was wondering if the extra timing is causing it and my VP44 is on the way out, just doesn't affect it at stock setting "YET", but I'm assuming it will eventually. My fuel pressure is about the same as a month ago when I installed the gauge, but it's not good 8-9 idle, and 5 WOT. At idle the FP fluctuates 1-2 PSI which it didn't do before. ANy thoughts or opinions on this? Thanks all!

Fuel pressure that low = lift pump is shot, has been for awhile. Definitely killing your VP44. Superchips programmer makes it worse, as you are dumping more fuel which you don't really have available. Sorry, man.

I still have about 30,000 until my cummins warranty is up. Since I just got my gauges installed a month ago, I'm sure my FP has been that low for awhile, which I'm sure is killing my VP44. I will run it til my VP44 give out I guess.
