Stutter, Surge, or Erratic TC Lockup
Well I'm writing this thread to help others because I came here to research my stuttering of my TC on my 99 auto truck and I found a fix for it here before I had to go to the stealers I mean dealers. I read all of the horrible stories of dealers thinking that everything that was wrong with or trucks has to be caused by the LP or Fuel Pump. Well not this time!
My Symptom: My truck would sputter or slip when I would slow down in 3rd or 4th gear at about 1100 rpm. I could easily replicate this scenario over and over. I thought fuel pressure was to blame but researching on this message board I found a few good fixes before I went to the dealer.
The fix: for me was reprogramming the computer by disconeckting the negative battery cables trick.
Even my brakes seemed to work better too.
I would like to thank the others who helped me find this easy fix
I love message boards

Sometimes this problem returns. It usually it electrical noise in the APPS/ tps line.
Try a noise filter on it then.
oh, your welcome!!
That is why this board is so good. We help each other.
