Sounds like the EDGE Comp is the way to go! I primarily use my truck for towing, but also have been using it lately as a daily driver (it's much more comfortable than an econo-box). I assume for heavy towing I assume I would adjust the power level for optimum EGT.
Ebay has several Edge Comps at $500, is there a better source/price?

With your 6spd truck which is equipped with the 12cm HX35, you won't encounter egt issues unless you are towing quite heavy with the Comp cranked. I never have my Comp set lower than 3x4 - ever. I have a 5spd 3500 also with RV275 sticks and have not really run into egt issues when towing heavy unless there are a lot of long, steep hills.....then, I will knock it down to 3x4.
I would not expect to find a brand new Comp for less than $500......just be careful with Ebay....Edge will not honour warranties if the "dealer" is some "fly-by-night" sketchy kind of dude.

CTD Nut, thanks again for all the help. This forum is GREAT! Hopefully this high-idle, deal pedal issue will just fade away after an APPS reset. I've got a 10 hour tow on Saturday, we'll see.....

A quick update: After installing the FP gauge, pump relocation, big line kit (and a new fuel filter), I made a 10 hour trip this weekend. No problems at all, except for a high idle (1000rpm) after about 5 hours (which dropped to normal after turning off the motor and restarting). The truck pulled beautifully up Cajon Pass at 70 MPH, 32 psi, FP at 13, temp at 800 (measured just past the turbo) with a 5000# trailer. I'll still do the APPS reset, but everything is fine. This thing will really move, I'm looking forward to trading up from the old Van Aaken to the Edge Comp so it won't defuel over 20psi!
Thanks for all the help on this forum!
