STICKY Steering.......

OK guys. I just had my left ball joints replaced, a front end alignment, new brakes and a left new rotor, new 315 Pro Comp Xtreme A/Ts and my truck drives like crap. It's as if the steering wheel is sticking!? If I turn the wheel left or right, it sticks in that direction. What in the heck is going on? I had the ball joints, front end aligned and my new tires put on yesterday. When I left they told me I need new brakes and I told them that I was going to take care of that because I was going to order some Hawk pads, but I go to get in the truck and drive off and the steering is the worst that its ever been, so I figure it's because of my brakes. SO I go the brake place at 9:00 this morning and finally get to leave at 5:00!!! And all I had done was a "basic brake job" and a new left front rotor replaced. I was about to go crazy while waiting on my truck. And now the dern thing pulls to the right side instead of the left now, but not AS bad as it was. Well I figured this was the cause of my sticky steering, but I was wrong. I mean its a little bit better, but what the heck, my steering wheel shouldn't STICK in the direction that I'm turning. So what I'm wanting to know is WHAT IN THE HECK IS WRONG! I'm about to go insane! The truck isn't even worth driving. Does anyone have any idea??

Thanks in advance!

Question Ideas ? I'm full of them!

First off
It sounds like the Caster is a tad off
Caster is what helps the tires return to center.
Those 315's may need more than stock.
Caution!!! too much caster puts more strain on your Ball joints....
1)
Your alignment shop may have used the stock specs.
You state you have 315's.
Do you have a lift?
You may need the modified alignment specs.
Check out Dave Fritz's web site. I think he has revised specs.
2)
I paid over 75.00 to have my front end aligned at a Bear shop.
The guy said my ecentric washers were bad. and they still are.
He said he did the best he could do. My truck drives pretty straight.
Our trucks are very sesitive to toe in out. Double check it!
I have a DT adjustable track bar that allows me to re-center the axle after the lift.
3)
If all else fails Rotate your tires.
Sounds weird I know but it worked for me.

Take it back till the shop gets it right.
Demand proper customer service! And be ready to pay for it!
Good professional Alignments are not 50 buck Wal-mart specials.

Thanks for the input. Well I took it to a respectable shop, but now I'm not so sure I did now. I have an appointment to take it to the Barret Dodge on monday, yeah yeah I know, I'm a moron for taking it to the dealership but I have to get this fixed and I start taking a summer course on Tuesday. If it is my steering box going bad....again..... then I'm ordering a PSC one.

I'll check that website out.

Thanks guys.

Ok well I'm dropping the truck off in the morning and I'm going to leave those specs. with them to take a gander at. Is there any way that they can test my steering box to see if its going bad? I replaced it last year with a 1-ton, so I hope its not going out. Hopefully they get to start working on it soon.
