Squished my thingy

I was upgrading my torque converter last night and what a job! It’s definitely more involved than dropping a 350 TH in a chevelle. It probably didn’t help that I did it in my yard and on an incline. That tranny with the transfer case is heavy! Anyway I tried to get away with not removing the cross member and sorta dropped the tranny on the cross member (hint: floor jacks don’t work well in the grass and on an incline) and squished the thingy with two wires coming out of it. It’s towards the bottom of the trans. and has a coil inside. Is this a temp sensor? Or does it play with the O.D.? Can I drive without it until I find a replacement? I guess this proves what my wife says is right, finish building the garage before playing with the truck. I think I still have ATF 3 in my ears. Oh, 1998.5 auto 4x4

What year truck? probably an output speed sensor, anyway it would have failed sooner or later so you bet it to the punch.

Not sure what it is, but you scared me at first....I had a flash back of when I was 5 and could barely make it over the rim of the toilet and had a squishing accident with the toilet seat

So, what's better, a squished hootis, or duraliner on the hootis?

Does your 4 wheel drive work. Could that be the vacuum block that tells the front end to engage?

Jury is still out on that one. I have only experienced one of those situations, so I could not accurately tell you which one is better.

Speaking of squished things, how are you doin' Phox?

By the end of the day, the foot is feeling better, although still ballooned up to twice it's size.
Then after a semi good night sleep, it hurts like heck again.

Hardly notice the road rash, unless I scrape up against something.

4x4 works fine. But it shifts different now. I waits longer before it shifts when accellerating normally. When I accellerate hard it seems to shift normal. Could this be due to the new torque converter? Or is this the result of the sensor squishing?
