Squeeky Clutch Pedal
Now that I've replaced and/or upgraded all the stuff on my '99 that needed attention (clutch, fuel tank cleaned, muffler, IAT sensor, fan clutch, new tires, fp guage, line-x bed liner, new topper........). I now have one thing really bugging me:
I can't seem to get rid of the really loud squeek in my clutch pedal. I've tried about a half can of WD-40, but no luck.
Anyone know of a trick to lubricating the clutch pedal?

Mine has a loud squeek sometimes too... usually only when it's cold out though....like below 20*F. I've never noticed it in the warm weather.
When WD-40 did nothing, I put some Rotella on a rag, and oiled the steel rod coming off the pedal. That did the trick for me. We'll see what happens next winter.

Thanks Moose, but whats Rotela?
Mine seems to have gotten worse in the warm weather... You would think it wouldn't, but maybe thats a sign that something else is wrong. Its really hard to see up at the top of the pedal, too many wires and stuff covering up the top of the pedal. I'll have to take a closer look.

Nitecap, Rotella is an oil made by Shell for diesels that a lot of folks use.
I like it....some don't.
btw, I've neve been able to figure out for sure where exactly that squeek was originating. I'm just happy it's not doing it now.

My truck has the same annoying clutch squeek. Sometimes when warm, other times when cold, but mostly when it is cold. I'll have to try oiling the rod. It's fine now tho so who knows if that will fix it later.
