Somebody tell me why this won't work
This is kind of an odd question...The past few couple days have been slow for me and I've had a lot of time on my hands..So I took the MAP censor out of my truck and did some tinkering...I ended up with a contraption that goes over the censor and makes it think it has WOT boost constantly...I figured it would give me a bit more low-end performance, but I really couldn't tell a difference...The CEL didn't light so I know everything was working, but wouldn't it help a bit??
Thanks!

You can throw a code and have the check engine light stay off. Have you tried the key on/off method (I think it works on 2000s) to check for any codes? The computer is probably confused because it is getting conflicting data from its sensors. You are telling it that it has WOT boost, when the data from other sensors tell it that the engine is not at WOT.

It didn't give me any codes...I tried the key method after i tried my little contraption...any other ideas? Is it just confused?
Edit: yeah, the key method works on my truck, I've used it before
