smoking bad at start up

hello everyone. so i bought my 12 valve about 3 months ago. i didnt have any problems this summer but now that it has gotten cold out, right at start up it smokes, like grey smoke really bad for a few min and then clears up but not all the way untill the truck warms up. My truck has about 220k on it and everything that is done to it is in my sig. any input would be appreciated. thanks guys.

You might check your heater grid fuse. If that's good, then check the relay--I think you can swap it with the horn relay. Those are the two most common things that fail for the heater grids. The grids themselves rarely ever fail.
