Slow off the line???

I was wondering how if any of you still have stock Dodge's.. I have an "01" Dodge 3/4 ton, Quad Cab, 4x4, Auto, 3.55's,Diesel. What I am wondering is- - My dodge doesnt get off the line fast at all.. really doggy. once I get up to about 20 or so it then seems to come to life somewhat.. Is this just normal till one does mod's to the rig.. Or do you think I may have another issue to tackle first? Looking for you thoughts..

Re:Slow off the line???

HERE YOU LOUD AND CLEAR...my 98.5 is the same truck and gears w/ auto...the truck is a dog off the line, really difficult to merge on highways too... (has 60k miles). i first thought something was wrong but all is OK...i'm ordering a fueling box within the next couple of weeks to combat this though.

My 2001.5 quad w/auto-3.55's was too, until I put the EZ on. Now will run like my old PSD did (reg. cab and 4.10's - about 1000 lbs lighter).

Re:Slow off the line???

I've got a '99 that's stock 'cept for the comp with no wire (an EZ+), and with a little power braking will break the tires loose.
On damp pavement it'll get sideways reeeeal quick.

Re:Slow off the line???

I want to do the "Tranny Thing" and drop some DD2s in it.
Then "I'll be finished" : yeah.....riiiiiight.
I'm "just" looking for around 300-325 HP.
I DYNOed at 231 hp /468 torque with the "EZ+" and a K&N.
My old 440 6-pack Cuda was 400hp 490tq.
It's amazing to get close to that with a 6 cyl. diesel in a 7000+# truck.
Coming home tonight through DC traffic, I came around the corner of 18th and H, jumped on it and was Dirt-Tracking half way down the block in a dually. ;D
I don't think the Goverment office drones approved.

Re:Slow off the line???

When I first put my EZ box on mine the first thing I did was a quick smoky powerbrake! ;D I did it at work and people couldn't believe it! I only did it once though since I know that dry pavement PBs kill a transmission. And if I remember correctly, I've heard that these transmissions don't hold up to well with more than stock power. I don't feel like buying a new trans yet!! I've got to tell you though, I see some people on here making huge power and I start to think how cool it would be............. 8)

Where does it end...............
