Shudder

Shudder
Hi Folks,
About to loose it with this issue, tried everything I can think of.
Truck runs great.
When applying brakes at highway speed all is well until I hit 30-25 mph then the "shudder" starts until she gets down past 10. Feels like from the back end but can't be sure. I tried the park brake trick-no pulsing, same with steering wheel/brake pedal.
New front rotors, new pads, new Moog trac-bar, new rear seals, GM cylinders, new shoes and turned drums.
I don't get it. Maybe tires???(Michelin LTX A/T 265/75 at 50%) that's this weekend if she doesn't throw me out for spending so much on the truck.
Anybody have this??
I thought maybe u-joints too......takers??
Thanks

If you checked all the brake pieces go for the ball joints and tie rod ends. Perhaps you have a caliper sticking or the rotors just aren't true, I've seen it happen. These hard metallic pads are the death of these rotors. It is very similar to what is happenning to mine right now and I purchased new rotors and have to get them on. I'm going to a softer pad on the front when I change rotors and replace the rear cylinders at the same time. This subject has been gone over here recently, alot.

I just got done with the same thing on my Mom's Truck (1996 in Sig). Funny part was I tried everything I could to fix it but still had the shudder.
Turned The rotors, check the pads, check the calipers, change brake fluid, check wheel bearings, check the rotors for trueness, etc...
Then...
I took the truck for a long haul approx 600 miles and came back home and the shudder was gone... ???
Don't ask... The problem is gone and I'm happy!

I had the shutter when braking after I installed the larger GMC rear brake cylinders. I think it is due to the drums heating up. I noticed it is worse with alot of in town stop and go driving. Have you touched the rear drums after braking? You might have them adjusted too tight. Mine stopped shuddering after 500 or so miles after the shoes broke in alittle. The shutter came back when I cleaned the dust off and readusted the brakes.

Broke down over the weekend and got some new skins.
Michelin 285/75 LTX M/S. This seems to have fixed things.
No more shudder, no vibration at 65 just smooth diesel pleasure.
