Shake in truck while driving

Shake in truck while driving
If I'm crusing about 60-65, the truck has a moderate shake going through it. It's only when I hold a certain speed between those speeds. Accelerating or decelearting, it doesn't shake. Anything above or below those speeds, it doesn't shake. Any ideas? I just had the tires rotated/balanced about 3 months ago.

Re:Shake in truck while driving
could be a multitude of things, but i would first look ath the tires and wheels, for roundness, and balance, or a twisted belt in one of the tires. then the front end, and the driveshafts/ujoints..and driveline bearings.

Take it to a big truck shop that trues tires, let them cut them. It will be smooth as glass after and the tires will get more miles on them when cut round.

How much is that gonna cost and how long will it take? I've got very little money (college life sucks ) and I have to have my truck everyday for school.

Try something very cheap before though.
So cheap it's free.
Pull your front driveshaft and see if that fixes it.
(mark the connections first, so you can reinstall it the same way)
Mine vibrates due to the angles created with my lift, but yours could have lost a balance weight.

Re:Shake in truck while driving
my first thoughts would be balance of tires or u-joints. Two of the most common....You mentioned 3 months ago about being your tires being rotated and balanced, you may have knocked off a balance weight then or since.
Just food for thought,

Re:Shake in truck while driving
Blue I had mine done for 16 a wheel and then balanced (spin), bill came to around $60 for the front two. What they actually do is jack up the front, spin the wheels on the truck and they have a cutter that just skims the tire until it is all round and true, makes a big difference. My brand new tires were really bad and out of balance, they spun them up and showed me, they shook the truck, after they were totally smooth running.

Hmm. I might have mom and dad foot the bill on this one. I'm going to take the driveshaft off sometime this week and see if that does anything. I have a suspicsion(sp) that is the problem. I don't know why though. I just do. If not, I'm gonna have the tires balanced again. If that doesn't work, I'll have them shaved. Thanks for the help yall.
