Safe operating temp?

Hello,
I recently was running 220 degrees with my 99 Cummins. I changed the thermistat, and it did not help. I finally discovered that I had cat hair pluging up the outside of my radiator!
I cleaned it and now I run 170-190.
My question is did I hurt my motor during the few months I ran 220?

Thanks
Jason
