rough running
Driving home from work Thursday my truck started to sputter of cough at around 70 mph.
Today I changed out the fuel filter thinking it was the problem
primed fuel canister with the key on method and also bumped it a few times hearing the lift pump run a few minutes
started hard but eventually fired and now it is running worse than before.
did I get air into the fuel system?
if so could you tell me how to bleed it out?
thank you

With it already running it's strange it hasn't smoothed out, perhaps there is another problem... Bleeding, you already know that bumping the starter will enable the LP pump to run for 25 seconds, by cracking the line at the VP ensure you have a positive flow there then tighten the line. From here you usually crack 3 injector lines at the injectors 1, 2 and 4 are easiest to get at, you then crank the engine until you get fuel at these injectors and the engine fires, once this happens start tightening the lines down and it should smooth out. Do you have plenty of good fuel?

Yes- fuel should be fine- new lp and ip within 6 months
I an going to pull the filter out and check the top o ring- does it sit in the middle groove on the brass ring or below it?
I will check it and then try to bleed any air to try to smooth it out- if this fails - I think I am drawing air elsewhere- I saw the post that says to pressurize the fuel system thru the tank with a shop vac- will try that to locate any leaks- thanks for the help
what size wrench for cracking injectors?
