Reverse under load problem/ Oil sender
I am working on a friends '01(man date 06/00) 3500 DRW 4X2 24valve 6spd. About 6 months ago I put a LUK clutch in it (No SBC dealer in Shreveport,LA). It had been working fine but now when he backs up with a load on it the truck starts "jumping" in the back and it gets worse as the clutch is fully engaged. The only way to keep from happening too bad is to feather the pedal.
I have not been able to duplicate the problem as it operates fine without a load on it. Just wondering if anybody had come across this problem before or have any suggestions.
The oil pressure gauge is also acting weird, sometimes reading good pressure sometimes not reading. Anyone know to get the sender other than local dealer?
Thanks in advance for any help.
