This is kind of a topic change... but last fall lost cruise control on my 98.5..no biggie I rarely use...then in february replaced my vp44...since then my tranny has been acting up between 40-47 mph when torque converter locks and unlocks once I get past 50 is fine but is happening more often and range is getting bigger...is this the dreaded apps ...I reset it today following directions...honestly I dont want to buy a Dodge dealer one since on my 03 with 36k the dealer just replaced after 6 warranty visits about no shifting ,late shifting and having to put truck manually in 1st gear to start...they said was a pinched wire and needed new apps...the charge was 650.00 a bit unreasonable for a truck with 36k..they have replaced tranny twice while brother owned..anyway I am quite interested in aftermarket apps and a lock-up switch.this one is far outta warranty and tows heavy...thanks Bill

Correct, Advertising on this forum is reserved for those fine people who spend their hard earned dollars here helping to keep this forum free for everyone.
The thread itself was fine until it turned into a full fledged advertisement to sell products.

I completly understand and I apoligize! The discovery was just made about 2 months ago in a thread over on TDR. "anatomy of the apps". Several of us guys were working on several different solutions to figure away around the DC APPS RIP OFF. The williams sensor turned out to be the direct fit and I was able to get the sensors slightly cheaper buying 25. I was worried about having a junk drawer full of sensors. The idea was to get a few williams sensors out there to see how they will perform in our application.

We need to get another post happening about the results of the "replacement apps" and the savings over OEM part.I like the fact it is used in a commercial atmosphere.I think there are alot of guys in the DTR who are and will be interested.
I ordered mine and will be starting a new thread about my install and results.I'm confident it will be great by the feedback that was received already by replacment APPS users.
