Removed fuel tank, now no power.
Hey guys I've got a lot of useful information off of this website. But I finally have a question that I could not find in a search.
Recently my rear brake line rusted out on my 99 Sport. I removed my fuel tank to make replacing it easier. After replacing the line and reinstalling the fuel tank the truck has no power. I'm lucky to get it to 30 mph and all it does is black smoke. Before taking it out for a test drive I bled the fuel line at the fuel filter. The check engine light is on. I tried turning the key on and off three times, but it only says "check engine". Any ideas of what could be wrong?
Thanks

You most likely pinched the fuel return line somehow. Make sure the line isn't kinked where it goes from steel line to plastic at the fuel tank.

I double checked the fuel lines last night, everything looked fine. Last night night my wife and a limped the Ram to the local Autozone. By the time we got it there it was smoking so bad that I couldn't see her Yukon XL right behind me. The guy scanned the computer and came up with a P0237. He said said that it was a MAP sensor and they did not carry it. It was probably a Mopar only part. Does that sound legit? It has been losing power lately. I just had the transmission rebuilt and thought the converter was bad. Maybe my problem is MAP and not the converter???

Pull the sensor and clean it. It can fix a lot of things but just cleaning the sensor.
Also inspect your air filter and turbo boots, your filter could be very dirty or you could have a tear or loose boot.
