rear end swap

have a 97 dodge 2500 gas 4x4 that just blew a rear. it says spicer 6800 under the hood. My question is i have a rear out of a 94 dodge 2500 diesel 2wd. THe rear does not have any tags on it. Would this rear work with the 4x4 or did they change gears.

just make sure they are both same ratio either 3.54 or 4.10s. Should bolt right in place of the other.
