WELL, i pulled her into the shop last night, and commenced to tighten up the top shock bolt. It did not work. it is tight, tight, tight, but the shock still moves when I grab it and try to move it. THis is wierd. Its as if the shock is not pressured up or something. Could it have lossed compression and not be doing its job?
THe reason I am here is I have a low speed bump on the drivers side floor board.

It's my pot and I'll stir it if I want to. If you're not careful, I'll stir your's as well!
Remove the "tight" bolt. My guess is that it is the wrong bolt (too long) and that the nut has bottomed out on the threads. While the bolt is out check the shock mount on both the shock and body for anything unusual. Let us know what you find.

Right again Stan. I've seen that a couple of times with Rancho shocks.

this is wierd though. I have had them on for atleast 3 months now. I only nocited the bump after I took it in to discount tire to have my tires rotated.
I checked for worn out wheel bearings, and I checked my lukes link, and greased all the fittings down there. Everything was cool as far as I could see. Only thing I see is the loose shock. It wiggles around on the lower connection. Maybe the lower bushing is wore? I cant see why it still wouldnt have pressure agianst it though. It could be wore, and still should have pressure from the truck body against it.
