Question on T-Case Designation
I see some regard the transfer case as NV241 and some NP241. Which is correct? Are they the same? Parts interchangeable? Any info is appreciated. Thanks!

Same, some of us screw up the designation.
NV= New Venture
NP= New Process
Not the same company, but some of us don't think before we type, myself included.........
NP is correct for Transfer Case, NV is correct for Trans.

I am pretty sure that New Process evolved into New Venture. I am also pretty sure that the t-cases are New Venture, but I'm not in the mood to crawl under my truck to find out. Should say on the tag on the back of the t-case.

I've been told:
It switched from NP to NV around 2003, although the 3500's may still be tagged as NP even though they could be the same TC as the 2500's depending on trans.
