Pressure hose keeps coming off
Had my truck to the local dealership to have a trans service &fuel filter changed. When I got it back I noticed a noise that sounded like a pressure leak. I looked & found the the last hose connection from the intercooler to the pipe leading to the intake was not on completely creating a gap at the bottom. It was easlily fixed w/a 11 mm wrench. Long story short,I have now put it back together-each time loosing & repositioning more clamps & connections- at least 4 times & it still keeps coming apart in the same location. Any ideas??

clamp may be bad,or clean the thing real good and put some spray tach if it keeps comin off,i had problem with fords i worked on doing it so i took it to a exhaust shop and flaired the end a lil bit more so the clamp was behind the flair and that stopped it,aybe even try 2 clamps, but if its got wd40 or some thing on it clean it good so it can bite into the tube, wish you luck

Pull the rubber tube off, clean all surfaces with Brake-Kleen (or equivilent), spray contact sufaces with hair spray, reassemble before it drys.

Ok, I tried the hairspray method. I was wrong though, it was the 1st hose connection from the turbo going to the intercooler. My guess it doesn't matter though

I've had the EXACT same problem. When I pull my big trailer, it blows off. I even tried ordering a new hose from Piers...unfortunately they kept sending me the wrong hose, so I gave up. If you find a solution...let me know!!!

I just ordered the "hot" side hoses from Piers (hope I get the right ones) I think the original are starting to get too mushy in the heat, never had a problem in the winter.

I had the main problem with the rubber hose that is CLOSEST to the turbo itself (the first hose from the turbo that starts the path to the intercooler). The hose is about 4 to 5" long, and connects to another pipe that is about 12" long. Piers said they new exactly what I was talking about and sent the hose that actually attaches to the intercooler...this would be the second hose that is coming from the turbo to the intercooler. Sent it back and they sent me the same one back, so I went ahead and put it on (wrong size...the hose was too long), so I cut it to length and put it on. Called them back to get another one...the correct one, and they didn't know what I was talking about. Told me to buy the entire hose replacement kit, so I gave up. I'm having a friend make one to fit it. Good luck and let me know if buying the "hot" side hoses works. You may also want to buy new clamps....

I know the hairspray trick works on factory hoses - many have said so...but, I don't think it will work on Piers HD Boot. Hairspray will dry before boot is in place. They are just too hard to get on. Once on - they won't go anywhere!!!
I used soapy water, to help get them on. When it drys it helps them stick. Just another way to do it!

Got the two hoses from Piers today. The one at the aftercooler and the straight hose up at the turbo. Much stiffer material and the straight hose does not have a hump. I think the stock hose gets soft and expands, pulling it out from under the clamp.
