Sorry if theses seems redundent, but I am new to posting and search the threads. I bought a Dipricol F/P gauge, tapped banjo bolt. I built a -4 Aeroquip marine rated fuel hose for the run. Where do you guys prefer to read from, the bottom of F/O fiter/seperator or inlet at the inj. pump. Currently I am going to go from the inlet line to the inj. pump. Let me know. thanks. stephen

 

Inlet of the injection pump is where I have mine. This way I know that what pressure the IP is getting.

 

Which tapped banjo do you have? If I remember correctly, the inlet to the injection pump requires a shorter bolt than the others in the system. If you try to use a regular length bolt, it will bottom out before the washers seal up.

But when I had my banjos, that is where I picked up my pressure reading. Now with the bigger lines, I pick it up on the fuel filter outlet.

 

Same here, thats where I have mine. I have uploaded some more photos, once they are approve you will see my tapped banjo and needle valve setup.

Nope, the IP inlet takes the same bolt as any other fitting. Wouldn't make sense to make one bolt in the system shorter than the others. Makes it more easier to work on.

I'm under the Fuel filter... But works just as good... Using a isolating needle valve.

So far it's showing true and no problems.

Yup. I wasn't all that crazy about it when I did it but i've have tha setup for over a year and not one drop in the cab at all, not even any seepage (i would smell it then). But, on the other hand if it ever leaked then I have thet needle valve to kill the flow.

 

well I purchased -4 aeroquip, made the line myself, haven't had a line leak yet that I have made using aeroquip, pretty reliable stuff. Crazy maybe having fuel in cab, heck I think if it did leak it would be a nice air freshener.. I wish someone would market that scent, I would buy it in a heartbeat.

Motorpool, I bought mine from Wildcat Diesel before they closed for good. Genos garage is a good source of a FP guage.

Guage is an Isspro EV (Enhanced Visibility) series guage, mechanical pressure guage 0-30 psi.
You need a tapped banjo as well to get a reading, plus a needle valve to dampen the pressure pulses from the VP44. The pressure pulses cause the FP guage to "rattle" and be annoying.
