Plenty of power - no start - no clicks -dead
Truck started and ran fine one minute and then the next when I turned the key, just nothing. No clicks - just dead silence when I try and start. I am stuck on the street - anyone have this happen? - where do I start? All lights/flashers etc seem very strong...

When you turn the key to the ignition position- does it do anything (wait to start, light test etc)?
If not I'd take a look at the wire loom in the steering column- if you move the wheel up and down sometimes a cable can get pulled out or break.
It could also be the ignition switch, but that one is a PITRE
Did you check all fuses?

check your starter fuse under the hood, if that is blown you can reinstall another one to get you where your going but will have to replace your starter contacts to fix the problem. (cheap and easy)

When I turn the key, everything looks normal for startup - just doesnt do anything. Thanks for the suggestions I will try them. If it is the starter fuse, shouldnt/wouldnt I get at least some solenoid clicking? Its all quiet...

I didn't think about looking at your sig before replying, but if you have a manual, could the switch on the clutch have gone out, or if you have auto, the sensor that tells the gear selector is in P or N may have gone out. I don't have an answer on bypassing or testing these sensors though.
Just a quick thought.

Check ALL your fuses, cables, and relays. Find the starter relay and see if you can replace it with another relay temporarily to see if it works. Could have corroded battery terminals? That's where I'd start. Could be starter contacts. Any symptoms of a weak start before this happened?

No problems at all. I just LOOKED at the terminals and there was nothing out of the ordinary - I'm at work right now so I have tried fuses yet. I did try hooking up jumpers - still not even a click...

Get a 12 volt test lite , put to starter to see if its getting power , if it is , you need a starter , if not , go upstream on wiring till you find where you lose power .
