Parts Prices

I sell Dodges and work for a dealer in northern California. It appears that Chrysler has raised some parts prices by over 50% lately. I supposedly get parts at cost plus 10%. I bought a couple of parts lately. I got a fuel filter and they got over 60 dollars out of me. Then I priced a vacuum pump seal kit and they wanted $70, both ridicules. I went down to the local Cummins West parts department, I got the seal kit for $9.69 inc tax 1/7 the cost. The filter was about $12 again 1/6 the My employee cost!

So, for any Cummins engine parts, you must go to a Cummins parts store in your area. You will need at least the engine serial number off of the tag on the top left side of the block above the injection pump. Don't forget the parts stores and tire shops for all other non-dealer parts also. They have the old on the block lift pump for $160.

Good luck.

Building better vehicles might help accomplish that. Fuel system, front end, steering & dash cracks are so bad Dodge DESERVES to bbe out of business.

You think light duty trucks are bad? We just ordered a windshield wiper pivot for Peterbilt, just a small plate 2 holes to mount, and the part sticking out where the wiper arm mounts, 138 bucks! I could not beleive it
