part # needed

ok i am gonna do all the rear u joints and want to replace the carrier bearing on the driveshaft, my napa guy's book lists no # for my truck pep and autozone also useless andone got thr pn? 01 diesel dually 4x4 auto quad cab

I also need to service the trans what fluid? dex3? don't need special fluid just the correct type i can get at a local parts store thanks

last i knew the mopar stuff uses atf+4 but then again i dont have an auto

Can't help you on the part #s, but for the tranny, ATF+4. Valvoline makes a good one and it is available at a good price at Auto Zone. ( I've been told that Valvoline [AKA Ashland oil] manufactures the ATF+4 for Chrysler)

Once that comes up, search "center bearing".

You'll have 3 choices.

got mine from advance auto parts online orders over $50 dollars was free plus no sales tax. If you are not in a hurry for it it took a week for me to get it (Az to MD). Cost no fuel tax or shipping.
