Parking Brake Fix 3500

Hi guys...

Decided to do my brakes today front and back discs

my parking brake never worked on this truck...original owner drove the truck with the parking brake ON and now it doesnt work anymore...

I was hoping that the new pads would fix this but seems to be that the parking brake is separate system

Is this right? how do I get this thing fixed???

Thanks

I believe the parking brake is a mini drum brake on the backside of the rear disc.

Replacing those shoes should fix it, if they are worn beyond adjustment.

No idea.
Never actually seen the setup myself, just going by what I've read on here.

Hey Phox...

How do you adjust the P brake shoes? Mine don't hold as good as they did awhile back...

Really would like to know...

Just reiterrating.

If we didn't get 5 inches of the white stuff overnight, plus what's currently falling,
I'd crawl under and check it out.

I'm leaning towards there is no adjustment at the shoes, only in the ebrake cable,
but again, I have no idea.
