P1693 is the companion code.
Means there's a code present in the other module, depending on which module had the 1693 in it.
If that's all you show with the key on/off/on/off/on method, you'll have to have it scanned.
Either Autozone or other big parts house, or the dealer, to find the hiding code.

I think it should be 4 numbers long.
Check our Tech Facts section for a list of OBD II codes.

0216 code is Fuel Injection Pump timing failure. Causes: high fuel supply restriction, low fuel pressure, wrong keyway installed.
Could be VP is going, lift pump going, restriction in fuel supply, etc.

fuel filter was changed about 2000 miles ago. checked it today its very clean. but I had a bear of a time bleeding the air out of the filter housing. LP is very quiet but still clicking. not much flow.
This sucks I had the same problem at 36000miles when my VP died. When It's cold it lopes like it has a strong cam on it. I called the dealer. Their going to look at on monday. My pusher pump flows good when I disconnect it. The LP is restricting it. Well maybe I'll get a new VP and LP before its out of warranty .
