P0234 Code Overboost !

I have a BAHF, adjustable boost elbow 100$ shut, and 5" resonator and 5" long muffler, then I also have the diablosport PUCK.
I thought this would increase timing and increase fueling and also act as a boost fooler.
I hit 28-32# boost on average with a bad VP on the way out. I got the new VP in the mail coming to me.
What do you think?

How can I get an overboost with the PUCK and a bad VP!

Then I try erasing it with the scan guage and it stays there again.

My MAP is reading 15.7 at idle and up at accelaration.

ANy help would be appreciated!

I would want to fix this issue before installing new VP and new Injectors!
Thks!

Yes over boosting will de fuel. I would look more closely at your tuner too see if it does boost fooling because regardless new vp or not you still gonna get the over boost code.

My MAP is reading 15.7 at idle and up at accelaration.
I don't remember for sure where it should be at idle, but that sounds extremely high at idle. I'm thinkin it should only be around .5-1.0 at idle. Sumthin sounds goofy.
Take the Puck off and see what ur reading is at idle.

Yeah I will take off the PUCK and see! But what about if I lower the adjustment on the boost elbow meanwhile!

I was getting the 0234 code and it wound up being my boost fooler was bad...and I could only hit 28#s of boost. I took it off, could still hit 28#s and no codes. So check your Puck and see if that's it.

Common code with a bad MAP sensor as well.

That's the direction I was heading in. I was just thinking that if the reading was that high, then the MAP is working, but something else is scewing the reading. I don't have that much experience with the MAP sensor, but they usually just read low or not at all from what I've seen. That's why I suggested taking the Puck off first to see what the reading was then and go from there. If the reading is still high, then look toward the MAP sensor. You need to remove all variables before you can assume that a part is bad.
Just my thinkin.

I would try removing the Puck and checking your MAP sensor voltage with it removed before you turned down ur boost. Shouldn't take long to do that.

Did anyone figure out if the Puck does boost fooling??

Mine threw that code when the Throttle Position Sensor was acting up...turned out it was not plugged in very well when the the VP was replaced ...so check there as well.
