I know this is not a new subject, however, I called the local Dodge Dealer to inquire about a repair kit #5140342AA. He looked it up and said that it is for 2000-02. Anyone know if it will work on a '99.

 

I am just curious, but how much did they want for the kit.

The cost was 79.00 plus the Governments share.

 

This P/N kit will work on your truck. I repaired the vacuum pump on my 98.5 back in July. Refer to my comments dated 7/26/04. Read what I said about what the people at the dodge dealership had to say. These guys would rather change out the entire pump for $1200 then sell you a seal kit. To find my comments, search under vacuum pump seal or by my user name. Plan on 4-5 hrs. to do the repairs. By the way, the truck has not dropped a single drop of oil since then.
