Overfilling NV5600

Anyone ever blow the front seal after overfilling their NV5600 , like
everyone recommends. I want to add an extra pint when I change the fluid next time , but don't want to add too much and blowout the front seal and possibly oil up my expensive South Bend OFE clutch.

I have 6 qts in mine, and no blown seal. It is a lot easier to pull the shifter tower, and fill from there.

I filled mine this summer with 11 qts. and no blown seal. It did leak a few qts out the vent, however. That made a mess on the underbody of the truck and all over the front of my trailer, but the tranny, seals, clutch, everything else was fine. Blacksheep over on the TDR claims Blumenthal's (the warranty provider for the 5600) recommends overfilling. I will try about 8 qts. next time.

blowing a seal is not very likley in the nv5600 as there is no pressure in the transmission unless the vent is plugged a seal will leak as a result of wear or improper installation but over filling by a quart will not cause a seal to go out
