oily turbo?
i just bought this truck and decided to check the air filter.....its a k/n drop in, and noticed it was very dirty....well i then took the hose to the turbo off and noticed that there was oily residue in the turbo....quiet a bit too. is my turbo about to go out? or could this be some oil from an overcharged k/n filter?

Clean the K&N, and sell it. put in a stock filter and clean the air line between the filter and the turbo inlet. Then clean the turbo inlet with clean shop towels paying attention not to leave any thing in the turbo. now run it for a couple of days and recheck it for oil residew. ( K&N makes a good filter for gassers) but for diesel engines the air must be cleaner.) There are many better filters out there that deliver better and cleaner air flow than the K&N.
