Oil pressure sending unit & bypass filter

Planning to install a bypass oil filter this week, and I was running through the process tonight. In looking at the TSM, there is reference to an oil pressure sensor/switch. I'm guessing this is the pressure sending unit? If so, it looks to be on the driver side of the block. I had the impression the sending unit was near the oil filter. I've seen Amsoil installation pics that show the bypass filter mounted on the passenger side, if this is the case, how is the line run from the pressure sensor (over, under), and how much line is required? I've got a mounting bracket made for the passenger side, and thought I had everything ready, so hopefully I'm just looking at the TSB wrong.

As a side note...has anyone compared the bypass outlet hole on an Amsoil BMK-11 to the BMK-15 (dual mount for dodge)?
