Oil leak at front of engine
#16
Hey I happened to read about your oil leak. One member suggested a front crankseal leak, but thought it was unlikely. That would be the first thing i would check. I drive a 12v and started to run amsoil 15w-40 and the front seal started to leak. New seal cost $45, and took about 3hours to put in with experience, now it doesn't leak a drop. My uncle has a 2000 24v with the same problem, a bad front crank seal, so don't rule it out, it also doesn't take to long to take the front cover gear cover off to replace the gasket, or replace it with permatex gasket maker, which worked fine for mine.
