No - Stratapore is for either conventional oil or synthetic. The filter itself has synthetic filter media. Fleetguard makes other filters (Microglass, Cellulose etc.) that fit the 5.9 but they do not filter as well.

I buy mine from Peterbilt... About 10 USD with my account down there.. I can get a microgaurd from Oreilly under my account for just less than 4 USD... But I notice that the Fleetgaurd does a MUCH better job!!

A Cummins service center will carry them or you should be able to get them at various medium duty diesel truck suppliers, Freightliner, Peterbuilt etc. many large truck stops or even some farm supply stores stock them as well.

Or you can order them online and have them shipped to your door. www.genosgarage is a good place to get them from.

I get my stratapore fleetgaurds from a local truck garage/parts place called Hunters. Check any big rig shops around if you have any.

Donaldson ELF7349 is another good choice. Filters down to 15 microns absolute, with the same synthetic media as the stratapores.

I guess I'll have to try to make the half hour trip to the Cummins shop. I HATE driving around salt lake.

Fleetguard Stratapore. Not all filters are created equal. The oil in my truck stays clean for the first 2000 miles after an oil change. When I change it, I also let it drain for a day also.
