NV 5600 Temps

What kind of temps do you all see with your pyro's? I want to paint my trans. case and need to know what type of paint I need.

I don't have a temp gauge on my nv5600, but I do know if you get over 300F with a trans you're looking for trouble.

i guess you are talking about the exhaust pipe heating up the side of the trans since it runs right beside it? im sure 500* paint would be PLENTY

5600's get hot because of the thin fluid specced and the loads they haul. But they also have a huge, unobstructed, bottom surface area for heat dissipation.
Using a thermal gun, the hottest I've seen mine is 205F after pulling a trailer up to the top of a 9000 foot pass on a dirt road.

Engine paint, I'd think.
