Now what did I do - overboost code 0234
Finally put in a boost guage and pyro. Checked codes today and got the 0234 for overboost. WHY?
Didn't get to hook up the fuel pressure guage yet but checked it and found I only have about 11# at idle.

Truck has been surging too
Forgot to mention that When you run it through the gears hard it surges a couple times in 2nd and sometimes 3rd, then seems to fall flat on its face. It is going but it just isn't pulling hard like it should.
Thanks for any advise,
Dave

The computer will defuel the motor after 26 lbs of boost i think. Do you have a different boost elbow in your turbow?? Otherwise your wastegate might not be opening. The reason is sugres in 2nd and 3rd is cuz thats when its getting to the 26 mark.

The truck is all stock - boost guage shows 22#
Haven't changed anything yet. Just put the gauges in to get a baseline before I make any mods.
Boost gauge does buzz when the boost gets up around 20.

Common problem is a sticking waste gate. My 02 was doing as you describe. I was getting about 28 pounds of boost and defueling. Lubed and freeded up the waste gate and it ran like a top.
