Most certainly a bogus APPS can cause similar issues. Its just a voltage divider. But that said, I dont want to give bogus advice and have you throwing money at your truck. You may have better luck Googling if the APPS will cause cutting out or not and see if anyone else has the same issue. If you do choose to get an APPS, get a Timbo APPS. Cheaper and better.

I've got it parked. When I crank it up it idles and takes throttle fine. Just as soon as it starts to warm up( about 10-15mins ) it starts to cut out and will not take throttle and dies.
