The p0336 is the crank shaft position sensor. Not positive but i think this can keep the truck from starting. Good luck

Update

well i had 4 codes being thrown, one being the 0336.

Removed replaced the crank sensor and all of the errors went away.

truck is happy! Only question is this is the 3rd crank sensor in this truck in 100k miles. What other variables could case a crank sensor to go bad?

has anyone seen a hypertech tuner cause parts to go bad? i was getting alot of communication errors as well.

Here are the 4 codes:
P1689-NO COMMUNICATION BETWEEN ECM & INJECTION PUMP MODULE
P1690-CRANKSHAFT POSITION (CKP) SENSOR DOES NOT AGREE WITH ECM CKP
P0336-CRANKSHAFT POSITION (CKP) SENSOR SIGNAL
P1693-DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) CLEARED IN COMPANION ENGINE CONTROLLER (JTEC) MODULE

Two have to do with crankshaft sensor and one with VP44, I would start on the crankshaft sensor first. (hoping its just the CKP and not the VP44).

good luck

The only thing i could think of is that it might be installed to far into the socket and got nicked by the crank. Or vibrations, or just plain bad luck with the sensors.
