Your IP was 1900USD or 1900USD installed by dealer. If it is going to be installed by a dealer, im almost positive they will also put the in-tank lift pump kit in the truck too.. That is if you want warranty witgh your new IP.... Kiss that 15PSI good bye and say hello to 8 at idle and 0-1PSI at WOT... Good thing your getting the FP gauge.. Good luck.

It was $1900 installed by Texas Injection Service. No other pump was installed. The liftpump tested good @ 15lbs, (I suspect it was new when I bought the truck 10k miles ago.) One year warranty on the IP.

Bglz42: How did you finally decide it was your IP that went bad? Did the repair guy do some kind of special diagnostic, or did you do have a atest? I understand your LP was putting out good pressure, but I wonder if other things could cause the same symptoms?

Robert told me there is a pop-off valve of some type that occasionally goes bad. He checked that, and performed some other tests on the pump and determined that is was bad.
Runs great now...

Ive personally done about 30 VP-44 installs....and this issue comes up every so often (Like my truck!). I knew how this one was going to end! Just be glad it was an easy fix per se! Its kinda like spending a night in the penitentiary with the "sisters" as opposed to a life time!

I don't remember where I read it but a study done to determine lubricity of ULSD with and without additives rated both Power Service products and Standyne as adding little or no additional lubricity, (there was another brand as well?) that said the consensus was that no Cetane enhancer added appreciable lubricity. I gotta find that article...

The white bottle is the same stuff as the grey bottle. Only difference is that the white bottle is the winter formula (it has the anti gel additive in it), where as the grey bottle has no anti gel.
