no power
A friend of mine has a 01 auto its sat for about a year and we are just getting it going again. But it has no power. He dont have any gauges. Its thowing 2 codes P0463 & P1693? Don't know what they are. We put a new (used) lift pump on it. Any other ideas? It starts right off no problemjust dont have the power it did not even close. thanks Heath

P1693-DTC DETECTED IN PCM
P0463-FUEL LEVEL SENDING UNIT VOLTS TOO HIGH. Bad fuel tank sender most likely. But this code will not cause power loss. Any smoke from exhaust? Did you replace fuel filter? Air filter good not plugged up. Could also be a bad boost sensor. Would need a scanner to monitor sensor output. Do a fuel flow test min 45oz @ 25 sec Read TSB.

Checked the lift pump it checked out ok if it was a boost sensor would it smoke a lot or a little cuz it don't smoke at all. Once you get it up to 55 or so it seems about right but from a dead stop it is a dog untill you get up to 50 or 60 mph. Took it to our tranny guy today and it checks out ok too. Any other ideas? Thanks Heath
