No Go
My truck won't go. I was riding down the rode & it just quit pulling. Did my input shaft give up the ghost of 250,000 miles? Is it worth all the extra money to put in a billet shaft?

That is correct. It won't do anything. I just recently had a new flex plate put in, no more than 2 months ago. From my recent expeience, when the plate goes, it shuts down the truck. Mine is still running, but it just quit pulling going down the road. I didn't hear any noise or anything whe it happened. It just quit. Is it worth the extra money to put the billet shafts in compared to a stock shaft?

I'd say unless you're planning on getting a comp, piercing the wire, getting bigger injectors and upgrading to twins, it isn't worth it.
Drag racing and sled pulling yes, worth it.
Your stock input shaft had a long life, replacement stock one should as well.

Dumb question, did you check the oil? What were you doing with your truck just before it quit moving? Is your truck a 4x4 or 2x4? Is the drive shaft still on? If so does the drive shaft spin when in gear? Have you checked the rear end to make sure you didn't pop the spiders or an axle shaft??

Phox notice my signature. I do need to rebuild the rearend, but it won't go into 4 wheel drive or anything. It is an auto with the Triple Loc SunCoast TC. I do not think I have a problem there. This tranny was just rebuilt less than 2 months ago. Jeff Garmon encouraged me to put in a billet shaft then. I told him to leave the old stock one in if it was still working, so he did. I think I am about to pay twice for it now.

I could've sworn it said an EZ and 275 injectors.
Wondering if it could be the output shaft, maybe that would be more likely to go quietly rather than the big bang when an input shaft goes.
Just had another thought, as everything goes through the transfer case, maybe that is the culprit?

You didn't say it was a 4x4. Maybe you should update your sig. Definitely check the transfer case. Did you try 4x4 low lock? Check the oil in the t-case to see if it is silver in color. Any oil leaks back there?

Phox you saw the RV275 engine & probably assumed injectors, right? I have had this signature forever. Hemi cat as you can see from my previous post, I stated it wouldn't go into 4 wheel drive or anything, anyway, anyhow. I had the COMP on stage 5 giving it all she had.It just quit around 42 lbs of boost,100mph,1500 egt's.No Noise or anything. It just quit. Should I put in the Billet shaft or go stock if that is in deed the problem?

So let me get this right, you were just driving down the road and it just quit pulling, 100 mph, 42 lbs of boost, and 1500 EGT's? and now you wonder what happened? Those last couple of insignificant details might have changed my first and second reply. Yes you might have burnt up the shaft, the t-case or any other part in there.

Yes I still wonder what happened. It is a lot different when you hammer on it running 50 plus MPH, which I was, compared to Power-braking off the line from a dead-stop. I might add that I have done both of these above mentioned driving applications hundreds of times with the same hardware in the tranny & case.
