Newbie question on sputter,code
3500 starting to sputter when first start out then clears up. Code was tpcs. Changed the filter, even pulled the tank and cleaned. Now runs fine and eng. light went off. Hoping this took care of it. I,m going to get a actron psi gage and check the fuel pres. Not sure how to hook it up. Need input on that and Also has any one had this code and it only be water in fuel or am I going to need the sensor, lp or etc soon?

Welcome to the group!!
You might add you information about your truck into the signature...So we know what you got ...
As for fuel pressure you better off mounting a permanent guage in the cab so you can monitor the pressure all the time...
Very important to keep enough pressure up to feed your hungry VP44 IP pump.
I think the minimum pressure is 8 PSI @ WOT...

O.K. Thanks. I have a 99 Dodge 3500 stock. One note the throttle control position sensor was the code. Dodge item at 500. bucks. Hope wont need it but from reading here I may even have future problems. lp & vp. Would water in fuel and sputter set of the tcps code? Idles and all fine only an occas. sputter. Also any idea on cheaper parts vendor for lp, throt sensor?

Well,
It sound like you need to to a APPS reset first.
APPS Reset Instructions
Make sure you have drained the fuel filter of water. Also take the time and change it if you haven't change the filter.
If that doesn't work you might need to replace you APPS sensor (or TPS). Usually the bucking and missing I would say it was the VP44 going...
Anyone else want to give him ideas...
