Tonight I had a new twist on APPS-related symptoms that I had a year ago. I replaced the APPS with OEM at the time. Then I would get the occasional dead peddle, but the real pain was once in a while I would get WOT with any movement of the accelerator.

Tonight I got WOT/fast idle. The WOT would stop at about 1200 RPM and I had no turbo response under load (climbing hills). I limped home at fast idle taking the flat road along the river. With those low RPM and no turbo response I didn't have enough torque to put a load on it.

Anybody ever encounter this scenario? I wouldn't think the APPS would die with a year of use. I read another APPS post describing cleaning contacts 125 and 126. I will try that tomorrow. I also replaced the ECM shortly after the APPS about a year ago.

Could it just need calibrating maybe? I haven't had any APPS problems yet (crossing fingers).
