New code 0500?
I have a question...I drive a 2001, 3/4 ton and it threw the 0121 code about 1 week ago. I ordered a new TPS but it has not come in yet and last night it threw the 0500 code which is something to do with the vehicle speed, I was wondering if any body knew if the codes were related in any way or if I have a whole new problem on my hands.
Thanks

P0500 code is a speed sensor. I have that up on mine. If you spin a wheel it could pop up. Does everything work OK like the speedometer and cruise? The code might reset or clear by it's self. Read on here that if you fast idle the code might pop up. Hope this helps

I get this code all the time whenever I spin my rear tires too much. If it goes away on it's own, it's no big deal. If it stays(ABS Light On), it could be a front wheel bearing or a vehicle speed sensor. I wouldn't worry unless you ABS light comes and stays on. I'm guessing it's the wheel spin thing due to it being winter...

My speedometer, odometer, and cruise don't work. Brake light is on as well. Should I check the abs sensor on the front wheel hubs? I replaced both front hubs about 15,000 miles ago and the came with new sensors. Should I also check a sensor in the rear differential?

(sensor on the tranny along with sensor on the rear do it on auto tranny trucks)
Sensors on the front are only for ABS.
So, yes, the sensor on the top of the rear differential is most likely bad or disconnected.
